The Awesome Games Done Quick event 2019 has raised a record-breaking $2.4 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, after a week of gaming at Rockville, MA.
Games Done Quick announced the news on their official Twitter account after gamers played their way through a variety of games from past and present to attract donations. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Bloodborne, Super Mario: Odyssey and others featuring across the seven days of streaming.
The donations tally stands at exactly $2,397,187.51, according to statistics, which is slightly higher than the amount revealed in their initial announcement. The donor index also shows the highest sum contributed to the cause was $217,226 across the week, which started on January 6.
The next event held by Games Done Quick will take place between June 23-30.
